  What we learned:

1: Gotham City is in close geographic proximity to New York City.

2: Batman considers the destruction of two major bridges to be a "minor disturbance".

It's crazy to think that The Batman gets relegated to the back of the book here. Can you imagine DC in any of the last few decades giving Bats second billing to Slam Bradley, Johnny Thunder, and Red White and Blue?

All in, NY World's Fair 1940 seems like a bit of a letdown after my memories of the 1939 book. A lot of artists I'd not really heard of with generic stories that just seemed to have "World's Fair" thrown in the dialogue. Still, seeing Batman and Superman on the cover together was cool.

It does seem like this issue was really a dumping ground for unused and rejected stories from their regular series; they just redid the final panels to tie the stories into the Fair. Clearly, the cover was the main draw. I think this might've inspired the "World's Best/World's Finest" book that'll be coming out soon.

2 stars for this story. Not bad, but this is Batman and Robin versus a generic mad scientist. Not much was put into this one, like the other Fair entries here.
