Blue Beetle is...not good, but improving. I like seeing his costume slowly morph into something that actually makes sense as a "blue beetle" costume over time.

The one thing that saved this story....barely....was Blue Beetle in street clothes beating up those thugs who tried to collect from him. Reminded me a little of his Mystery Men #1 appearance.

2 stars. The last two BB stories have that "knocked out in about an hour" feel with really nothing going into them. Even at this stage in the early Golden Age era, the DC amalgam is light years ahead of Fox in story and character quality. Blue Beetle has a long way to go.

Four pages isn't nearly enough to make a good story out of this one.
