If my costume was that ugly, I would want to be invisible too...

What a weird series so far. He's called "The Invisible Hood" for no reason in the first story, then he gets invisibility powers in the second.

...isn't that something you'd want to get to in the story that establishes your "Invisible" hero?

And, yeah. His costume is just awful. He looks like he's running around in a red trash bag.

Justice must be invisible to allow him to wear that gaudy costume. Doesn't he know that the invisible formula probably stains clothes?

The initial explanation for choosing the name "Invisible Hood" was pretty weak, but at least he now has the power that his name implies. Just one problem: it would be a bad day if he ever misplaces that hood!

2 stars.

Honestly, the two best features in this comic are Archie O'Toole and Espionage both of which were originally in Feature Funnies. Archie O'Toole is wonderfully silly and Espionage is pure early Eisner. You can see the early Spirit sticking out all over the series.

Invisible Hood? No wonder Roy killed him off in All-Star Squadron.

Two stars
