  I wonder why Guardineer ditched the backwards-words spells for this. The spells still work as he made camels sprout wings and fly! This is probably my favorite Zatara spell yet!

Zatara really likes to make snakes appear out of thin air.

  I'm wondering about the absence of backwards spells, too. What is that type of spelling that Zatara is performing anyway?

However, I did like this story. It was about time Zatara faced a more powerful opponent that measured up to his talents, instead of a bunch of hapless crooks. I actually felt the higher stakes in this a little bit. Hopefully we see more stories like this in the series.
